If you're creating a product that can be downloaded on Doorstep Market, you must select Add Downloadable Product when creating the new product.
For downloadable products, you'll need to set links or upload files. (If you don't see this block at the bottom of the product page, make sure you click Add Downloadable Product when creating the product and not Add New Product.)
The Title should reflect the type of file(s) available for download. Good examples might be PDFs, MP3s, Digital Issues, eBook, Video File, etc.
You'll need to add at least one link. The Title of the link should be the title of the file (not the filename).
If different files can be purchased at different prices, you can set those here as well by ticking the radio button and filling in the price for each item.
You can optionally select File and click Browse Files... to upload your own file or select URL and paste in a URL in the blank.
Unless you want to offer a free sample of the file available to download, you can ignore the Sample column and following Sample block. We recommend putting this information in the product photos and description except for special cases.
Shareable refers to whether you allow the buyer to share the link with other people. Generally, we recommend no.
Max. Downloads is generally reserved for DRM for software and likely isn't relevant to your product. If you'd like to limit the number of times a buyer can download your product after purchase, you can enter that number here. (We recommend at least 5-10 to account for the possibility of a failed download or misplaced file.) Alternatively, we recommend just clicking Unlimited.
And... that's it! You're ready to go! Hopefully the process wasn't too painful. If anything still isn't clear, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org. We're here to help.
