Physical Products make up a huge percentage of Doorstep Market's inventory. Make sure the following fields are all filled to make your product stand out!
Made In City
e.g. Boston
(Don't put the state here.)
This shows up on the product listing.
Delivery Method
You can choose more than one by holding down Ctrl/Cmd and clicking.
Made In Country
If you're using parts made in other countries, this generally refers to the country of assembly.
This shows up on the product listing.
Material
This is a really important one! Customers will be able to filter and search for products based on materials.
You can choose more than one by holding down Ctrl/Cmd and clicking.
Made In State
e.g. MA
This shows up on the product listing.
Made In Zip
This is used to calculate tax.
This option does not show up on the product listing.
Season
Is your product for a specific season or seasons? (e.g. a jacket or a BBQ grill) This is another great way for customers to filter down products to find yours!
Made to Order
This not only allows customers to filter products, but also lets customers know that the product you're making for them really is something special.
Usually ships in
This is really important to set expectations for the customer and is something we at Doorstep Market will ensure our Makers are adhering to, as outlined in our Maker Standards and Guidelines.
Product Qualities
You probably don't need to be told that these labels are hugely important for consumers. Selecting the applicable ones here will let customers find your products based on those labels.
Promotion Type
Cherry-picking a few products feature can really help you move your inventory. Of special note, adding "Sale" has no actual effect on whether the product has a special running or not (or vice versa).
Occasion/holiday
Not every product is going to fit an occasion, but this isn't limited to products with a theme. Selling chocolate? Selecting Valentine's Day and Christmas is a no brainer!
Shipping Weight (lbs) (For display only)
Shipping Dimensions (For display only)
While the previous weight field is used for shipping calculation, this blank is used for display. Letting buyers know how big something is and how much something weights sets an expectation that can lead to a sale!
Once you have the Physical Product fields ready to go, you're ready to start working on the Description.
